Protocol 1: Timelock Multisig
You set a specific, unchangeable duration after which your inheritance protocol can be initiated by your heirs.
Cryptographic keys are distributed between your chosen heirs and a neutral third-party service for redundancy.
Once the timelock expires, heirs can collaboratively use their keys to access the funds directly on-chain, no central party needed.
Protocol 2: Heartbeat + Executor
The system periodically checks for a cryptographic "heartbeat" signal from your wallet, confirming you are active.
If the heartbeat stops for a predefined period, a designated human executor is notified to review and verify the situation.
After confirmation, the executor co-signs a transaction with your heirs to release the funds according to your plan.
